My maternal grandmother, Clara [Thomsen] Cypher, leftmost on the picture, was one of the Thomsen girls. A daughter of William Thomsen and Barbara Berger, their family consisted of 7 girls and 1 boy. They were neighbors to the Andrew Cypher and Hermina Jakel family, a family of 6 girls and 1 boy. Clara would take up with that one Cypher boy after his dad died in a hunting accident. They were my grandparents on my mother’s side.
