Following Kristi’s college graduation, her dad gifted her tickets to Europe. She first asked some girlfriends to go, but none of them were able. I had graduated the semester before so I was willing and able to join her. We planned a 6 week tour of Europe on the cheap (think Europe on $20 a Day, a popular book at that time). A guy I had worked with, had a sister who lived in Altheim Alb, Germany. We would start by visiting her and taking excursions from there.
